The Mirror Book: Wicca and Commercialism
I know I am pretty new at this, but one of the things that I’ve noticed about people who are newly interested is Wicca is to rush to buy everything even remotely pagan related. For a religion focused mainly on nature, that seems rather silly to me.
Over the past month or so, I’ve collected…
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with buying tools, especially when it’s from local pagan shops. However, I’ve seen over the years that solitaries (not all, but a lot of them) become more reliant on buying things than someone who is taught [by someone else]. That’s not bad or anything, just not the most traditional look at it. My first teacher had me go out and find as many of my tools as possible in the woods and also had me find all of the ingredients to cleanse and bless them there too; so for me, buying things just doesn’t seem as personal as finding them in nature, you know? But, as the saying goes “each to their own,” how other people get their things isn’t really any of my business. ^^’

Tiny shrine/altar, for the lady that was asking about what mine looks like. It’s set on the midpoint of my wall, a little higher than my head.
There’s milk and bread up their right now. And no image because I’m not allowed to print them off at my house, and I haven’t been able to draw her yet. I’ll take a picture after I’ve have though. :)
(I don’t know what else to give since I’m not really old enough to be in possession of alcohol or anything like that… so I give to Eir, because I know she likes pure milk, and I like to honor her often anyways.)
I just finished a painting. I feel like it fits my blog. I dunno. :) either way, I like how it turned out.

Part 2
Okay, so this is Part 2. I have alot, lot more than just those gods I’m putting up here. I got those research pages from HeathenTemple. Same with the lesson. They’re definitely one of my favorite blogs, and provide me with a ton of information I really need to begin. Next we have my spells and howto’s page. I’m not showing each on individually because:
- I don’t record enough spells that I do, and it’s not really worth it.
- I find spells very very personal, and don’t like to share them.
- I have a MILLION howto’s, and that would be just ridiculous.
